Why did you decide to enter the recruitment industry? |
Whilst navigating my own career development, I became intrigued with the multi-facet responsibilities and challenges the role of a Recruiter presented. This combined with a genuine interest in business psychology, human behaviour and a passion for finding solutions, I knew I had found my niche! I initially commenced my recruitment career as a Global Executive Consultant, partnering internationally with major multinational fortune 500 clients. However as of 2012, I’ve been part of HPG! I personally specialise recruiting within the commercial sector of the Healthcare Industry, proactively providing 360-degree recruitment solutions aligned to Sales & Marketing, Analytical, Education and Clinical Support roles, across Australia's southern states and New Zealand. Recruiting is without a doubt – super challenging, yet super rewarding! |

What was it about healthcare that appealed to you? |
As a Healthcare Specialist Recruiter, I’m proud to contribute positively to ANZ’s healthcare community. Through various resourcing channels, I identify and secure the ‘right and best’ professional for each subject vacancy, which essentially opens the pathway for the ‘right and best’ medical product/service/solution to be presented accordingly. Curious by nature, I thrive on building knowledge! Recruiting within Healthcare, I’m granted the opportunity to continuously partner with ethical, passionate and intelligent professionals; each playing a vital role in positive patient outcomes. Furthermore, being part of a dynamic, agile, innovative and evolving industry, I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to be forever learning about new medical solutions and services. |

Tell us about your most memorable role placement. What were the challenges and achievements? |
Truly impossible to select only one; I am heartened to have partnered with hundreds of professionals over my recruitment career, nationally and globally. Each placement brings me a great sense of joy; from the Rookie with limited industry experience securing their first opportunity, to the infield Rep who goes on to win multiple awards, along with the senior professionals who utilise their commercial, analytical and marketing skills to drive through effective business outcomes. Recruiting specifically across Healthcare is extremely rewarding; each candidate placed ultimately adds positive value to patients’ lives and to the wider community. |

What education background do you have that helps you with your current job? |
I completed a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Property. The generalist subjects provided a great basis for business operations, whilst specialising in Property provided insights to business negotiations, sales, financial planning/modelling, ROI and marketing/branding. The learnings obtained during my studies, along with my career work placements, have been instrumental in presenting a thorough understanding of the commercial vacancies I recruit across. |
