This is a critical role within the service and quality function, helping ensure medical equipment is maintained to the highest standards. About the Opportunity: As a Service Technician, you will play a key role in the servicing, repair, and testing of medical devices. You’ll work closely with a small, supportive team to ensure equipment is cleaned, checked, documented, and maintained according to strict regulatory and company standards. There is also scope to support elements of quality assurance, including complaint handling, document control, and supplier management. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a technical background in biomedical servicing or electronics, who is confident working hands-on with devices and has excellent attention to detail. Duties: Service, test, repair and maintain medical devices Document all service activity in line with compliance and quality procedures Assist in managing inventory and dispatch/return of equipment Handle phone-based troubleshooting and support enquiries using pre-set scripts Support complaint logging and QA document control activities Occasionally attend hospital sites  Skills and Experience: Tertiary qualifications in Electrical, Biomedical, or related engineering field Experience in servicing or assembling medical devices Familiarity with GMP, ISO9001, or quality systems Strong communication, patience, and a willingness to learn Experience using compliance systems is desirable Ability to commit to an on-going temporary assignment Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.  Culture: You’ll be part of a close-knit team of three, reporting locally while collaborating with international stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring validation activities are executed to the highest standards, in alignment with the company’s quality systems and regulatory expectations.   Duties Execute and report periodic re-validations of GMP equipment and facilities Execute validation activities in support of the SA25 Filling Line Remediation Project Prepare and complete protocols and reports for: Qualification of gloveless, robotic filling isolators Temperature mapping of controlled temperature chambers and autoclaves Decontamination validation of isolators Validation of container closure integrity testers Airflow visualisation studies Particle monitoring and HVAC re-qualification Collaborate effectively within cross-functional project teams to meet tight timelines Prepare and update GMP standard operating procedures and templates Manage validation workload and priorities in a dynamic project environment Skills and Experience Degree in Engineering or Science degree in relevant discipline Minimum 5 years of hands-on validation experience in a GMP-regulated environment Prior experience with QMS, and electronic documentation management system (Veeva) Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent organisational and time management skills Culture Although a large, global company, they are able to provide a family-like culture and pride itself in improving the lives of others.   Why this opportunity is right for you This is a Full-time 12-month opportunity based in Melbourne.
