Why did you decide to enter in the recruitment industry?

I chose to enter the recruitment industry because I love interacting with a variety of different people, learning new things, and helping others. I knew that recruitment would bring me a number of unique challenges to face every day in a fast-paced and busy environment – the type of setting which keeps me motivated to succeed.

What was it about healthcare that appealed to you?

I have always had an interest in the healthcare industry because it is so diverse. Working in healthcare recruitment allows me to expand my knowledge and work with people passionate about positively impacting the lives and wellbeing of others.

Tell us about your most memorable role placement. What were the challenges and achievements?

My most memorable placement would have to be the first one.

The most challenging part was trusting in myself that I had found the right candidate that ticked all the boxes. The best part was that the client loved the candidate, proving to myself that I had found a good one! It was the best feeling letting the candidate know they had secured the role and hearing how happy and excited they were.

What education background do you have that helps you with your current job?

I have a Bachelors degree in Criminology and a post-graduate certificate in Teaching.

The skills I developed throughout my degree like researching theories and (a lot!) of writing help me to create candidate profiles which effectively reflect their skills, personality and achievements. The skills I learnt during my teaching course help me to guide candidates through the recruitment process, teaching them tips and tricks for their interviews and providing them with constructive feedback to help them succeed in their next step.
