Why did you decide to enter in the recruitment industry? |
Recruitment was suggested to me as I have always been passionate about helping others. Initially, I thought recruitment was all about being a great salesperson, which was something I lacked confidence in at the start of my career. However, I quickly learned that being an attentive listener, understanding people's needs, and building strong relationships were crucial to succeed in recruitment. These are skills that come naturally to me and have made me thrive in this industry for the past 15 years. |

What was it about healthcare that appealed to you? |
The healthcare industry initially caught my attention due to its innovative nature and focus on saving and enhancing patients' lives. I enjoyed the opportunity to learn about this industry and help create a healthier and better way of living. However, over time, I have developed a personal investment in this industry and find great purpose in my role. It's rewarding to be a part of something that contributes to our communities and makes a positive impact on people's lives. |

Tell us about your most memorable role placement. What were the challenges and achievements? |
One of my most memorable placements was for a Warehouse Manager role with a large global healthcare company that had operations in Darwin. We had just secured a spot on their PSA and were tasked with finding a suitable candidate for their most challenging role, which had remained vacant for the past year. Darwin posed a challenge due to its location, with limited qualified candidates in the area. We had to screen through numerous applicants and be very selective in our search for a suitable manager. This led to daily challenges, where I had to face agitation and rudeness from candidates who did not meet our expectations. However, our persistence paid off, and we successfully sourced a candidate who not only met their high regulatory requirements but also fit their culture perfectly. Within two weeks of being placed in the role, we received feedback from multiple stakeholders internally, congratulating us on an excellent placement. |
What education background do you have that helps you with your current job? |
While my education has undoubtedly helped me in my career, it is my years of experience and my constant desire to learn that have been most beneficial. I continuously take courses and training to equip myself with relevant skills and knowledge, which has helped me stay ahead in this industry. |

Why a client or candidate should work with you? |
If you're looking to partner with someone who understands your objectives and goals, then I am the right person for you. I thrive in a transparent communication partnership and am very persistent and patient, even in challenging environments. I am driven by outcomes and people-oriented, and my greatest satisfaction comes from helping both my clients and candidates achieve success. |
