The Clinic  

This hospital facility is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vascular Sonographer to join a supportive, helpful team.  The doctors have a strong interest in research and teaching.  The vascular sonographer will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to the patients. This position offers the opportunity to work in a renowned medical institution with state-of-the-art equipment and a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality vascular ultrasound studies independently, including but not limited to carotid, arterial, venous, and peripheral vascular studies.
  • Utilise advanced imaging techniques and equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
  • Interpret ultrasound images, identify abnormalities, and communicate findings in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and accurate diagnosis.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and assist in the development of protocols and procedures to optimise imaging services.
  • Stay updated with advancements in vascular ultrasound technology and techniques through continuing education and professional development.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and demonstrate empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • Certification by the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) or equivalent accreditation.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Vascular Sonographer, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Proficiency in performing a wide range of vascular ultrasound examinations with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with health care professionals and patients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
