Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality diagnostic vascular ultrasound examinations on patients using specialised equipment and techniques.
- Evaluate, record, and analyse vascular images and Doppler wave forms, ensuring accurate and detailed documentation.
- Assess blood flow patterns, identify abnormalities, and measure physiological parameters to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and other health care professionals
- Maintain and calibrate equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in vascular sonography and participate in professional development activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- ASAR Accredited
- Proven experience as a Vascular Sonographer, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Proficiency in performing a wide range of vascular ultrasound examinations, including carotid, venous, and arterial studies.
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to vascular systems.
- Strong understanding of ultrasound physics and Doppler principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and high-quality diagnostic images.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and medical professionals.
- Commitment to patient-centred care and the ability to maintain confidentiality and empathy.
- Familiarity with relevant software applications and electronic medical record systems.
