About the opportunity:
As a Technical Applications Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and training for the company instruments and assays. You will liaise with customers, prepare instruments for demonstrations, and contribute to the development of instrument manuals and training documentation. This role is important to the business as it ensures their customers receive the technical support and training they need to succeed in their work and enhance the lives of patients. Although this role is remote and you will be required to work from home, you must reside in Sydney as you will be required to offer on-site support to customers in and around the Sydney metropolitan area.
Duties:
Provide operator training and technical support on all instruments and assays
Structure content and provide documentation for pre-installation customer training
Perform operational qualification of instruments following installation and software upgrades
Co-ordinate product evaluation and demonstration support for customers
Conduct advanced troubleshooting with Field Service Engineers to resolve complaints and issues
Provide support for Field Service Engineers in diagnosing instrument performance issues
Undertake regular pro-active visits to customer sites
Assist in product performance investigations in co-ordination with the Technical Manager
Ensure compliance with company procedures and protocols
Provide timely closure to all applications field support issues
Provide applications support for other territories as required
Skills and Experience:
Relatable tertiary qualification for the scientific industry, applications management or biomedical engineering.
Experience working within the medical device, diagnostic or scientific industry.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to software and applications.
Experience in creating training content and presenting it to users.
Exposure to working with diagnostic instrumentation and equipment would be highly advantageous.
Knowledge of software applications management.
Understanding of compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.
