About the opportunity

In this role, you will be responsible for the management and co-ordination of lead optimisation activities. Key responsibilities will include library panning, screening and selection; along with the management of general laboratory operations.

Duties

• Manage and supervise a small team of scientists

• Manage and maintain phage display library

• Ensure smooth day to day running of the laboratory

• Undertake protein expression and characterisation

• Design and develop biological assays

• Undertake continuous improvement/workflow activities

​

Skills and Experience

• PhD (Scientific discipline) is required

• Sound understanding and experience of protein discovery and phage display

• Proven leadership experience

• Prior experience in designing and validating biological assays

• Demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills

• Excellent communication skills
