About the opportunity
The R&D Project Operations Specialist will work closely with the Senior Scientist within the validation team.
Duties
- Perform laboratory studies using viruses (including human pathogens)
- Contribute to the development and validation of scale-down models
- Contribute to the research and development of new viral clearance strategies
- Analyse and interpret experimental data
- Ensure compliance to GLP and GMP (where applicable)
Skills and Experience
- Science degree required within Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Biomedical Science
- 2-4 yrs in research and development and testing, bio processes
- Must have experience in virus studies, work with human pathogens
- Experience in cell culture and aseptic techniques (desirable)
- Understanding of protein chemistry and experience in AKTA protein purification system (desirable)
- Understanding and experience working under GLP and/or GMP (desirable)
- Good problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good team working skills
