About the opportunity
The R&D Project Operations Specialist will work closely with the Senior Scientist within the validation team.

Duties

• Perform laboratory studies using viruses (including human pathogens)
• Contribute to the development and validation of scale-down models
• Contribute to the research and development of new viral clearance strategies
• Analyse and interpret experimental data
• Ensure compliance to GLP and GMP (where applicable)

Skills and Experience

• Science degree required within Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Biomedical Science
• 2-4 yrs in research and development and testing, bio processes
• Must have experience in virus studies, work with human pathogens
• Experience in cell culture and aseptic techniques (desirable)
• Understanding of protein chemistry and experience in AKTA protein purification system (desirable)
• Understanding and experience working under GLP and/or GMP (desirable)
• Good problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good team working skills
