About the opportunity
The Quality Control Analyst will perform plate reading and enumeration of raw materials, environmental monitoring and water in compliance with quality standards and applicable government regulations to ensure product specifications are met.
Duties
- Fast-paced work environment in the team
- Coordination with lab and manufacturing to support practices
- Daily issue resolution
- Work with manufacturing to get errors corrected, create relationships with key customers
- Getting paperwork corrected to facilitate the release of products
- Taking plate off test -performing reads, subculturing, and identification work as required
- Use of Teams to escalate and get support
- Pick up errors and see them through to keep the process moving forward
- Perform Bacteriological activities including plate reading, and microbial identifications as required following Standard Operating Procedures and cGMP and other regulatory requirements
- Help with the preparation, review and update of laboratory documentation
- Complete GMP and GLP records, review and authorise following approved procedures
- Perform data entry in electronic systems (LIMS, EQMS, SAP, etc)
- Help investigate out-of-specification and invalid results
- Support general laboratory activities
Skills and Experience
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or Biology life sciences
- 3+ years' experience in a microbiological test environment
- Experience handling data in electronic systems such as LIMS, EQMS, SAP
- Knowledge of GMP and GLP
- Experience in a role requiring adapting to changing priorities while still meeting deadlines
- Experience making risk-based quality decisions which include sound justification
- Excellent attention to detail, needs resilience
- Strong problem-solving skills
