About the Opportunity
As the Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager, you will lead and drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement within our client's Australian operations. You will implement systems that mitigate risk, improve efficiency, and deliver zero defect products to customers. Reporting directly to the Site Manage your role is pivotal in ensuring the highest quality standards are met. Lead a small team, support various business units, and play a critical role in compliance and operational excellence.
Duties
• Drive the Quality and Continuous Improvement culture by the use of Quality principles and Lean Manufacturing tools, systems, and processes
• Use Continuous Improvement tools such as Root Cause Analysis & CAPA, implement findings, and measure effectiveness
• Manage and support all related business units with Internal and External Quality ISO auditing
• Manage External supplier audits, evaluations, and product approvals
• Monthly reporting of current non-conformance, trends and improvement KPI targets.
• Support the NPD process and validation of new procurement suppliers through risk assessment of new raw materials, new suppliers, or supplier changes and process changes.
Skills and Experience
• 3 years experience managing and auditing quality management systems, ideally in the Manufacturing field.
• Demonstrate ability to implement Quality Systems and Continuous Improvement Processes that mitigate risk and provide process efficiencies and savings.
• Strong operational understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, tools, and systems
• Extensive experience of implementing a Continuous Improvement mindset and culture in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships.
• Analytical skills, proficient in identifying areas for improvement, mapping, and planning, then leading the execution.
• Ability to coach and mentor others in the underlying principles of Quality and Continuous Improvement
• Experience in managing and auditing Quality Management Systems, ideally in the Manufacturing
