About the opportunity
The Quality Control Laboratory Assistant is responsible for completing scheduled routine analytical tasks efficiently and safely in accordance with approved test procedures, standard operating procedures and the code of Good Manufacturing Practice, as well as participating in support activities.

Duties
  • Receiving water samples for qualification in a new facility
  • Perform 3-4 routine simple tests on samples
  • Register samples, housekeeping tasks, disposal of samples
  • Ensure sample details are accurate and logged in appropriately; following up where necessary
  • Ensure that all records are completed, signed off and entered onto LIMS

Skills and Experience
  • Must hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Biology
  • Relevant experience in a Pharmaceutical QC Laboratory is ideal
  • Knowledge and experience of the code of GMP and GLP
  • Ability to use complex laboratory instrumentation
  • Good written verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to work un-supervised
  • Ability to follow complex test procedures.
  • Knowledge of Windows based software
  • Ability to manage time to ensure testing/activities are completed in a timely manner
