The Casual Vacancy  
A casual vacancy for a melanographer nurse in South Perth has become available to commence around end of May or first week of June. 
This role focuses on early detection and education, which are central to long-term cancer prevention. Melanographer nurses will be making a direct, tangible difference in people's health outcomes—especially among a professional audience that may not otherwise prioritise regular checks.
Duties 
  • conducting full-body skin cancer screening assessments on-site using dermoscopy and visual inspection tools, while also providing education on skin health and sun safety practices to a small group of corporate staff members.
  • Conducting comprehensive full-body skin checks on-site
  • Performing dermoscopic assessment of lesions using a dermatoscope
  • Educating patients on skin cancer risk factors and preventative strategies
  • Documenting findings and making clinical recommendations where appropriate
  • Working independently with support from the team
  • Screening approximately 12 staff members in total over the course of the assignment
  • Use of dermoscopy and advanced screening techniques
  • Autonomy in clinical judgement
  • Opportunity to educate staff on skin safety and UV awareness
  • Flexible, Low-Stress Scheduling This job is morning-only, located at a single, well-appointed site in South Perth with no travel or shift variability. 
  • Premium Setting & Positive Patient Engagement. The clientele (corporate staff or members of a prestigious club) are generally cooperative, health-aware, and appreciative of the service.
  • Expect around 12 patients in total
  • You’ll work independently while the company manages logistics, coordination, setup, and patient scheduling. This is appealing for experienced clinicians who enjoy clinical autonomy without admin overhead.
  • Equipment, bed, and lighting provided on site
  • Dedicated support staff to coordinate patient flow

Requirements 
  • AHPRA registered Nurse
  • Certificate of Melanography
