About the opportunity

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this Medical Sales Representative role covers the Cairns/Townsville QLD territory. You'll engage with General Practitioners to promote a high-performing, industry-recognised product portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for both experienced reps and qualified first-time entrants to the pharmaceutical industry who are eager to launch their sales careers in a supportive and structured environment.


Responsibilities

  • Promote products to General Practitioners to drive sales and grow market share
  • Deliver meaningful, educational interactions with healthcare professionals
  • Plan and execute customer calls in line with daily and weekly targets
  • Organise and run engaging professional events (e.g., luncheons, dinner meetings)
  • Collaborate with a high-performing team to deliver shared territory success
  • Build deep product and therapeutic knowledge and stay abreast of clinical updates
  • Implement tailored business plans for your territory
  • Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with healthcare professionals
  • Represent the company with professionalism and clinical credibility

Skills & Experience required
This role is a great match for recent university graduates (Science, Medicine, or Business) seeking to enter the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Medicine, or Business (preferred)
  • Prior pharmaceutical sales experience is highly valued
  • Sales or customer-facing experience (e.g., retail, B2B) strongly preferred for first-time entrants
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to learn clinical concepts
  • Experience managing a territory or working in a field-based role is a plus
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Motivated, self-directed, and team-oriented
  • Valid driver's licence (no more than 6 demerit points)
