About the practice 

This cardiovascular clinic is known for providing high-quality care to patients, and as a strong reputation within the medical community.  The practice has a positive work culture where the team feel respected and valued. The clinic works with patients to help them manage and improve their heart health.  


Position  

This cardiovascular clinic is seeking a full-time medical receptionist to join the team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of previous experience as a medical receptionist, excellent communication skills, and a professional and friendly manner. This role reports directly to Principal Owner and The Cardiologists, PA. 

Responsibilities of this role include the following:
  • Managing day-to-day receptionist duties, including supporting the front desk manager
  • Interacting with patients and maintaining high-quality customer service
  • Opening and closing the clinic as required
  • Assisting the PA with marketing and other administrative duties
  • Managing incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate personnel
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments
  • Maintaining patient records
  • Manage and process billings 
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a medical receptionist
  • Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on verbal and written English language skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • A professional and friendly demeanour
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Previous experience with Genie medical software is highly regarded
  • Flexible and willing to support evening shifts ie 12pm-800pm when your colleague might be on leave  
  • Available to support the practice between 900am-5:00pm  
  • Be open to taking 2 week mandatory leave around Christmas
