About the opportunity
Reporting to the VP, Medical Affairs, the Director, Medical Affairs will be instrumental in shaping and executing the global medical strategy. This position leads a talented team of Medical Affairs professionals, collaborating with regional and global colleagues to drive scientific exchange, build strategic external relationships, and strengthen evidence generation to support clinical adoption and best practice.
Duties
• Develop and execute the global Medical Affairs strategy in alignment with business goals and market needs
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team fostering collaboration and innovation
• Build and maintain relationships with global key opinion leaders, professional societies, and healthcare organisations
• Oversee medical education, communications, and evidence generation activities in partnership with cross-functional teams
• Ensure scientific and HCP-facing materials are of the highest standard and compliant with internal and regulatory requirements
• Provide medical insight to guide product development, lifecycle management, and marketing initiatives
• Represent the organisation at international medical and industry events, demonstrating scientific leadership and strategic direction
Skills and Experience
• PhD, post-graduate clinical qualification, or medical degree in life sciences or related field
• Extensive experience in Medical Affairs, including leadership of global or regional teams
• Strong background in medical devices or pharmaceutical industries
• Strong business acumen with excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
• Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and project management capabilities
