About the opportunity:
As the Logistics & Distribution Lead, you will be responsible for controlling and ensuring the correct and compliant daily operation of the 3PL facility across Australia and New Zealand. You will provide leadership for distribution network optimisation by standardising and improving on processes. This role is important to the business as it guides the 3PL through maturity stages to an efficient operation.
Duties:
Manage and control the 3PL operation to ensure high level of service to customers is maintained.
Work closely with the team to ensure stock accuracy and control.
Managing the master data for the 3PL and ensure data accuracy across the systems.
Review and monitor the service level performance of the 3PL.
Drive operational excellence and process improvements.
Identify and present solutions for value-add services across distribution.
Ensure occupational health, safety & environment standards are met.
Ensure quality and compliance is adhered to.
Reporting and providing visibility to the business on relatable issues.
Skills and Experience:
Extensive experience working in a warehousing, distribution or operations management role is required.
Experience working within the medical device, pharmaceutical or wider healthcare industry is highly advantageous.
A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a relatable field would be ideal.
Vendor management experience in a warehousing environment is required.
Lean methodology experience is essential.
Strong SAP background is highly desirable.
Excellent communicator with the ability to build strong business relationships.
