About the opportunity
This role will see you lead the operational delivery of laboratory and manufacturing spaces, providing support for day-to-day lab operations and team coordination. You will work hands-on to drive best practices in calibration, chemical safety, lab compliance, and equipment management. Duties
Lead the day-to-day management of laboratory operations and facilities
Provide hands-on support and mentorship to lab coordinators and team members
Manage calibration schedules, servicing, and equipment quality control
Oversee chemical management, PPE practices, and PC1/PC2 lab compliance
Maintain and improve documentation, QMS processes, and SOPs
Liaise with internal stakeholders, external contractors, and lab equipment suppliers
Assist with laboratory fit-out activities and support sustainability and asset management projects
Skills and Experience
Proven laboratory management or senior lab operations experience is essential
Strong understanding of equipment calibration, servicing, and laboratory compliance standards
Background in R&D, biosciences, pharmaceutical, or medical device manufacturing environments highly desirable
Familiarity with PC1/PC2 lab operations and asset management systems
Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach
Project experience or involvement in lab fitouts would be highly beneficial
Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail
