About the opportunity

A permanent role, based in rural NSW, our client is looking for an experienced Finance & Administration Manager. You will manage the finance, admin and IT aspects of the business, including 5 staff members. You will be responsible for all general accounting and finance manager responsibilities incl financial reports, analytics, budgeting, forecasting and tax returns adhering to all necessary standards, legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the organisation's administration and accounts staff
  • Train & educate staff on accounting and administrative processes
  • General Accounting duties incl overseeing payroll, month, quarter, year-end, AP/AR, reconciliations, prepare & monitor cash flow, prepare & lodge tax returns & forms etc
  • Prepare annual operational budgets & forecasts
  • Prepare financial statements & reports
  • Analyse & provide commentary on financial reports, trends and KPI's of the organisation
  • Prepare financial costing and budgets for projects incl business plans
  • Maintain finance & other relevant systems in accordance with requirements
  • Identify & implement process improvements
  • Ad hoc projects to support CEO as required

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce
  • Ideally CPA/CA qualified or working towards
  • Must be a strong leader, communicator & team player
  • Aged Care or healthcare industry experience desirable
  • Experience in a similar finance management position
  • Intermediate to advanced level of excel skills
