    The Clinic 
This Cardiology Practice is a busy clinic, supported by a team of 9 cardiologists .  The clinic is supported by a team of interventionists, EP and imaging cardiologist to provide a range of cardiovascular services. 

Job Description:

Owing to some sonographers, moving out of area, the clinic is  currently seeking skilled and experienced Cardiac Sonographer to Fly in and Fly out on a one week block.  Forward dates are welcome.   This temporary position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment,  work and manage interesting and complex pathology,  collaborate closely with a team of cardiologists and health care professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a list of TTE
  • Perform echo cardiograms, stress echo cardiograms, and other cardiac ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment with proficiency, ensuring high-quality imaging and accurate diagnostic results.
  • Experience using Philips machines 
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, adhering to privacy and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to uphold standards of excellence in cardiac imaging services.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and empathy in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • 45 minute appointments for each patient  
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Medical Sonography or Diagnostic Ultrasound.
  • Accreditation with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) or equivalent accrediting body.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, preferably in a clinical cardiology setting.
  • Proficiency in performing echo cardiograms, stress echo cardiograms
  • Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
