About the opportunity:
As the Engineering Manager, you will oversee the management of assets, maintenance activities, and projects in their sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. You will play a vital role in ensuring efficient operations, optimising critical systems, and maintaining compliance with internal and regulated quality standards.
Duties:
- Develop and maintain knowledge of production operations and critical systems
- Implement preventative maintenance programs and resolve equipment failures
- Provide technical support and guidance for new equipment assessment and projects
- Lead a team of maintenance personnel and ensure adherence to best practices
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction strategies
Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in mechatronics, electrical, or mechanical engineering is essential.
- Extensive experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment, preferably in pharmaceuticals or sterile manufacturing.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to a team and being hands on when needed.
- Strong technical aptitude across electrical and mechanical as well as a strong understanding of manufacturing equipment.
- Experience in Process Engineering would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
- Experience in managing projects would be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of systems within manufacturing and quality management.
