The Clinic 

This cardiology clinic is conveniently located in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.  They are considered one of the business cardiovascular hospitals in Australia.  The site performs thousands of procedures, annually. The clinic has strong partnership with the major tertiary hospitals, giving access to highly specialised services.   The successful applicant will have access to clinical teaching, research and best practice in cardiovascular medicine.    Due to further demand for their services, a full time or permanent part time position has become available for a cardiac physiologist with experience in investigating cardiac devices, electrophysiology and cardiac ultrasound, has become available. 


The Position 

As an experienced Cardiac Physiologist with an interest in pacing, you will be involved in investigating Cardiac Devices, Electrophysiology and Cardiac Ultrasound. Your role is to establish a greater understanding of Cardiology through industry and tertiary training to become a leader as a cardiac technician.  

In your role, you will perform the following duties. 

• Interrogation and reporting of multi branded cardiac devices (ICD, PPM, BiV, ILR, CRT), including Home Monitoring support.
• Provide efficient technical support during implantation's, follow ups, and remote monitoring for cardiac devices
• Provide positive working relationships with other health care professionals. 
• Continue to develop knowledge of device algorithms, implant procedures, and troubleshooting
• Offer technical support during implantation's, follow ups
• Keep abreast of latest R&D 
• Provide in theatre clinical support of implants and other procedures 
• Provide post implant clinical follow up, programming, diagnostic analysis and trouble shooting 

Requirements 

• Proven experience as a cardiac physiologist.  
• Must have worked in a hospital environment 
• Cardiac Electrophysiology Certificate 
• Bachelors in Medical Science (Bio medical Science) or similar discipline  
  
• Excellent Bed Side Manner
