Vacancy
A position has become available for a very skilled, experienced and dedicated Cardiac Sonographer to join a hospital and be part of a friendly healthcare team. You will be paid per-scan . As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will utilise your expertise in performing cardiac ultrasound services such as echo cardiograms and other cardiac diagnostic imaging procedures and provide preliminary reports for doctor to review. This position offers a unique payment structure, with compensation based on the number of scans conducted.
Responsibilities:
Conduct echo cardiograms, stress tests, and other cardiac imaging procedures
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and image quality.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including imaging reports, test results, and other pertinent information.
Educate patients about the imaging procedures, answering any questions and alleviating concerns.
Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Stay updated with the latest advancements and techniques in cardiac sonography through continuous professional development and training opportunities.
Requirements:
Degree in Science or Health care or similar discipline.
Education: Completion of an accredited cardiac sonography program or a related field is essential.
Experience as a Cardiac Sonographer
Knowledge: Proficiency in performing trans thoracic, trans-esophageal, and stress echocardiograms
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately interpret and analyse diagnostic images.
Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, handling multiple tasks and prioritising accordingly.
Professionalism: Demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and empathy towards patients and colleagues.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, based on patient needs and scan schedules.
