Position Description

Position Description
The Cardiac Sonographer will work closely with cardiologists and other health care team members, the Cardiac Sonographer conducts non-invasive examinations that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. In your role, you will perform scans, provide accurate information for medical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-quality echo-cardiograms , perform stress test and TTE
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process, and addressing any questions or concerns to ensure patient comfort and cooperation.
- Use the ultrasound equipment to capture images from various angles and perspectives.
- Monitor and adjust equipment settings to optimise image quality and data acquisition during studies.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and physicians
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedure details, patient information, and any relevant observations.
- Stay updated on technological advancements and best practices in cardiac sonography through continuing education and professional development.
- Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- ASAR Registered
- Proficiency in operating echocardiography equipment and associated technologies.
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and cardiovascular diseases.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, health care professionals, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to patient care, safety, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
