Tuesday  12th September   0830-430pm    South Sydney GE and Philips  

Get paid by the hour plus super 


Dates Queensland - Brisbane  

21st September - GE machines 
2 dates on Monday or Wednesday in September  - GE machines 

Paid by the scan  


Position Description  

The Cardiac Sonographer will work closely with cardiologists and other health care team members, the Cardiac Sonographer conducts non-invasive examinations that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. In your role, you will  perform scans,  provide accurate information for medical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct high-quality echo-cardiograms , perform stress test and TTE 
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process, and addressing any questions or concerns to ensure patient comfort and cooperation.
  • Use the ultrasound equipment to capture images from various angles and perspectives.
  • Monitor and adjust equipment settings to optimise image quality and data acquisition during studies.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and physicians 
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedure details, patient information, and any relevant observations.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements and best practices in cardiac sonography through continuing education and professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
  • ASAR Registered
  • Proficiency in operating echocardiography equipment and associated technologies.
  • Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and cardiovascular diseases.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, health care professionals, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities 
  • Commitment to patient care, safety, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
The Cardiac Sonographer plays a vital role in the diagnostic process, supporting the health care team in delivering accurate and timely information crucial for effective patient management and treatment planning.
