Role Overview:
The clinic is seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiac Sonographer to join the team. This role is crucial in delivering precise and high-quality echocardiographic evaluations to support optimal patient care. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will work closely with our cardiologists and other specialists to provide comprehensive cardiovascular diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • High quality care and diagnostic testing
  • Perform advanced echocardiographic examinations, including transthoracic, trans esophageal, and stress echo cardiograms
  • Perform scans using 2D, M-mode and Doppler during transthoracic echocardiography, stress echocardiography and contrast echocardiography for both inpatients and outpatients (and or be willing to learn to become proficient in performing these studies) 
  • Provide high-quality images and detailed reports to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Work in accordance with best practices and safety standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cardiology advancements and echocardiography techniques.
  • Participate in team discussions and contribute to patient care planning and management.
  • Maintaining and cleaning all equipment and ensuring infection control is upheld
  • Educating patients on procedure details, providing instructions and answering questions to minimise anxiety and improve cooperation.
  • Upholding legal standards and facility guidelines by obtaining written consent and securing patient information.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Cardiac Sonography or equivalent.
  • Experience in performing and interpreting echocardiographic examinations.
  • Proficiency with echocardiography equipment and techniques.
  • Understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining professional standards.
  • Current registration with relevant professional bodies and licenses.
