Role Overview: The clinic is seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiac Sonographer to join the team. This role is crucial in delivering precise and high-quality echocardiographic evaluations to support optimal patient care. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will work closely with our cardiologists and other specialists to provide comprehensive cardiovascular diagnostics. Key Responsibilities:
High quality care and diagnostic testing
Perform advanced echocardiographic examinations, including transthoracic, trans esophageal, and stress echo cardiograms
Perform scans using 2D, M-mode and Doppler during transthoracic echocardiography, stress echocardiography and contrast echocardiography for both inpatients and outpatients (and or be willing to learn to become proficient in performing these studies)
Provide high-quality images and detailed reports to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Work in accordance with best practices and safety standards.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cardiology advancements and echocardiography techniques.
Participate in team discussions and contribute to patient care planning and management.
Maintaining and cleaning all equipment and ensuring infection control is upheld
Educating patients on procedure details, providing instructions and answering questions to minimise anxiety and improve cooperation.
Upholding legal standards and facility guidelines by obtaining written consent and securing patient information.
Requirements:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Cardiac Sonography or equivalent.
Experience in performing and interpreting echocardiographic examinations.
Proficiency with echocardiography equipment and techniques.
Understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining professional standards.
Current registration with relevant professional bodies and licenses.
