About the opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager ANZ, your role as Associate Director, Strategy & Operations will see you providing oversight, governance and delivery of key strategic projects as part of the organisation’s unique growth plan in Australia. You will be working alongside the leadership team and above country SMEs with the responsibility for ensuring milestones and commitments are met in line with the agreed project plan and objectives, whilst providing project status updates to senior leaders in the business. Your experience as an expert in Project Management will position you as an internal resource and coach to the General Manager and local business, providing guidance and support to the delivery streams and to the broader enterprise on how to manage delivery risk.
Duties
Develop and document high-level strategies for accomplishing specific project objectives
Develop and maintain schedules, timelines, KPIs, milestones, and performance reports
Provide input and updates to the cross-functional senior leaders in accordance with the overarching program governance
Ensure all program or project documentation is current, complete, stored and shared in a way that is consistent with the PMO standards
Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders in a complex matrixed global environment, whilst engaging effectively with a broad range of external stakeholders
Skills and Experience
Extensive Management Consulting / Project Management Office experience in global consulting organisations
Established experience across pharmaceuticals, life sciences and biotechnology (mandatory)
Track record of managing major projects from inception to delivery
Project Management skills with experience in the design, delivery, execution and governance of project milestones
Strong leadership capability and ability to coach business leaders in Project Management principles and agile ways of working
Bachelor’s degree essential, with relevant post graduate qualifications (MBA or similar) a distinct advantage
