About the opportunity
Reporting to the Market Access head, your role will aid this organisation’s rapid expansion focusing on developing key payer relationships including state-based hospital formularies, private health insurers, private hospital groups and other relevant organisations.  You will be building strong relationships with key stakeholders to lead value discussions, share insights internally from external stakeholders and provide vision to the organisation around future payer strategy.  You will have the capability and experience to flex between highly strategic responsibilities and also deliver on the execution of tenders for key accounts.

Duties

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision makers and payers

  • Gather strategic insights to anticipate market drivers and adapt accordingly

  • Execute pull-through value story delivery to key decision makers

  • Anticipate commercial drivers and integrate insights into strategic planning with input from internal and external stakeholders

  • Lead and execute contracting and tender operations for accounts; tracking tenders and responding in a timely manner

  • Ensure consistent implementation of price governance

  • Support forecasting of sales targets

  • Align with internal functions such as access & pricing, supply management, marketing, and medical affairs.


Mandatory Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and/or vaccines sector with proven capability to lead stakeholder engagement with key accounts from a value and market access perspective

  • Strong understanding of vaccines and/or infectious diseases

  • Well networked with experience illustrating value stories across a wide range of payers including purchasing groups, state government procurement organisations, private health insurers and private hospital groups

  • Proven capability to lead strategy of key account management across vaccines from a market access perspective

  • Strong key stakeholder networks across the Australian vaccine / pharmaceutical sector

  • Ability to work with in a dynamic and highly matrixed global pharmaceutical organisation

  • Ability to act with urgency as the organisation builds its global footprint
