About the opportunity
The Senior Director, Laboratory Operations, Asia Pacific will manage Lab Operations in three locations: Singapore, Shanghai, and Japan. This individual will act as a Regional Leader and will also be part of the Global Laboratory Operations Team. The Senior Director will optimize the overall performance of the lab at a specific site by monitoring the delivery of timely testing services, providing necessary resources, and ensuring client satisfaction.
 
 
Duties

• Provide management assistance to the various technical departments of the laboratory, other support services and functional areas
• Leads by example in generating a culture of continuous operational improvement
• Develop operating and capital budgets, facilitating strategic planning, and monitoring performance to ensure client satisfaction and operational excellence.
• Support business development efforts and communicate overall capabilities through written materials, personal meetings, and scientific conferences
• Ensure global regulatory compliance
• Achieve client satisfaction by monitoring laboratory performance using tools to accurately assess delivery of testing services
• Facilitate staff development through various internal and external training and educational programs designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of staff members

 
Skills and Experience

• Requires 8 years management experience in a clinical laboratory environment; experience in a laboratory performing highly complex testing as defined by the most recent CLIA rules
• D, PharmD or PhD with specialization in Laboratory medicine
• Ideally have exposure to global operations environment
• Fluent in English
• Strong business acumen
• MBA is a plus
