About the opportunity
The Scientist will support and assist a small group of scientists to provide analytical support for the R&D plasma product development group.

Duties

• To perform analytical methods (predominately HPLC) to support the development of plasma protein products
• Collate, present and analyzing experimental data including statistical analysis, where appropriate
• Prepare assay test procedures, protocols and reports for test methods
• Collaborate with other global analytical sites to assist in the standardisation of processes within the CAT group
• Maintain laboratory quality systems

Skills and Experience

• Must hold a degree qualification in a relevant scientific discipline
• Minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience required
• Strong laboratory skills and experience and understanding in HPLC
• Be able to interpret scientific publications and pharmacopeias
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Able to work as part of small Team but also independently when required
• Able to work with other Teams and external providers
• Familiarity with programming software for controlling analytical instruments such as Empower or Chromeleon
• Ability to independently interpret and implement the appropriate statistical practices for data analysis and reporting of data
• Have an understanding in assay qualification
