This Aged Care Facility is looking for an experienced people leader and motivator to join their engaged team on a busy site that is bursting at the seams with laughter and excitement.

About the role:

In this role you will be responsible for providing leadership and management in the day to day operations of a residence to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents and staff.

Effective leadership management of the aged care residence ensuring the delivery of quality care, including clinical, maintenance of standards, promotion of a positive work environment, including complete responsibility for the administration, clinical, nursing and personal care, environmental services, food services and maintenance divisions.

You will be part of a wider team where there is plenty of support around you, which will allow you to focus on people management, operations, rostering, managing budgets, engaging staff, retaining talent and ensuring the residents are laughing every day.

Duties include:

  • Comply with and promote the policies and procedures and participate in safety & improvement activities for the organisation
  • Support and participate in WHS policies and procedures and implement (where appropriate) within the organisation
  • Participate and oversee all audits conducted at residence
  • Commit to understanding and upholding the Principles at all times
  • Active participation in the team environment

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 3-4 year experience in similar role
  • Experience in Aged Care and ACFI documentation
  • Experience in a Management Position
  • Certificate 4 in Workplace Assessment and training
  • Intermediate to Advanced computer skills
  • Tertiary education in an aged care related field
  • Involvement in external organisations
  • Empathy for the elderly and passion for the field
  • Understanding of auditing and analysis
