About the Opportunity
As a Quality Control Technician, you will play an integral role in ensuring that laboratory operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will support testing across biochemistry, microbiology, and chemistry functions, ensuring compliance with GMP and internal quality standards. This is a hands-on role within a supportive QC team, offering exposure to a variety of laboratory processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties
  • Perform laboratory duties including assays and sample preparation
  • Manage stock, reagents, and in-house standards and controls
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
  • Complete and manage documentation in accordance with GMP and GLP standards
  • Enter and verify data in LIMS and coordinate QC sample batch records
  • Organise and distribute samples for internal and external testing
  • Participate in document preparation, review, and updates for procedures and test methods
  • Support Lean (Six Sigma) initiatives and continuous improvement within QC
  • General housekeeping and laboratory readiness activities
Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant scientific discipline
  • Experience following laboratory test procedures and operating laboratory equipment
  • Knowledge of GMP and GLP standards
  • Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Windows-based software and data entry systems
  • Experience in Lean Laboratory practices desirable
  • Problem-solving ability and time management to meet testing deadlines
  • Previous laboratory technician experience and chemistry background (desirable)
