About the opportunity
Join the team as a Medical Science Liaison, providing high level scientific, medical, and technical support to key opinion leaders. This position will act as the scientific expert for the current portfolio and be a national role. The company is experiencing exponential growth and working on phase 3 studies in new disease areas, an exciting time to be joining. This is a small team so will give a great exposure across the various business areas with a close working relationship with the commercial team.  There is also a close relationship with the global medical team and there will be involvement in global medical projects.
 
Duties
  • Providing credible scientific expertise to internal stakeholders and external KOLs
  • Keeping up to date with relevant clinical trials, be an expert in your therapeutic area and assist with requests for medical information
  • Building networks with KOLs in your therapy area, health consumer organisations and key external experts
  • Deliver credible presentations on scientific matters to physicians
  • Active involvement in the global medical team and global medical projects.
  • Training of commercial team in disease area and product
 

Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary degree in a scientific area, preferably in a clinical area such as pharmacy
  • Experience in the therapeutic area of addiction an advantage
  • Experience as an MSL preferable
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • At least 3 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry within Australia preferable
  • Ability to clearly communicate your scientific understanding to a large audience varying from physicians to patients to internal colleagues
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Collaborative working style; demonstrate flexibility and adaptability
  • Empathy, compassion and respect for a patient group that is often very stigmatised
