About the opportunity...
As the Medical Receptionist you will be the face of the company, greeting and assisting patients and offering exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will involve precise data entry using medical software (Genie), adeptness in both Medicare and private health billing, and effectively overseeing the dynamic pace of a medical practice as well as assisting the cardiologist. Proficiency in multitasking, coupled with a proactive approach, is crucial to thriving in this role, especially during busy periods. You will be managing online claims, billing, appointment booking, patient calls and various ad hoc duties like ordering office supplies as well as collaborating with medical professionals.

What you'll be doing...
• Liaising with patients, staff, doctors, and external providers
• Data entry using the medical software (Genie)
• Billing, online claiming, outstanding account recovery and adjustments
• Manage phone calls, patient bookings and general enquiries
• Occasional spot cleaning duties and to maintain consumables
• Booking for Health Assessments, Cardiology or Allied Health appointments

What you need...
• Understanding and experience with Medicare and private health billing
• Experience in a very fast paced medical practice
• Computer literate with medium to fast typing speed and accuracy
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and problem solveMature mindset, warmth when providing exceptional customer service
