About the opportunity

Join the team as a Medical Advisor, providing high level scientific, medical and technical support to a variety of key opinion leaders and internal stakeholders. This position will be responsible for developing the medical strategy for the Neurology products and overseeing promotional compliance. This position is based in NSW and permanent full-time.

Skills and Experience

  • MBBS, MD, PharmD or PHD qualification essential

  • At least 4-5 years' experience within the pharmaceutical industry within Australia

  • Experience in Medical Affairs is essential

  • Experience in the relevant therapeutic area of Neuroscience

  • Experience in mental health is highly beneficial

  • Ability to clearly communicate your scientific understanding to a large audience varying from physicians to patients to internal colleagues

  • Strong influencing skills

  • Collaborative working style; demonstrate flexibility and adaptability

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation

  • Strong working knowledge or Medicines Australia Code of Conduct

  • Ability to travel both nationally and internationally

Duties

  • Stakeholder mapping and management of key national Key Opinion Leaders

  • Assisting with the development and implementation of the overall Medical strategy plan, for the brand.

  • Management of Brand Advisory board meetings and the support of medical education initiatives that are undertaken with these experts.

  • Providing input to the development of local brand plans-by adapting and incorporating elements of the global medical plan

  • Code compliance for all promotional materials.

  • Supporting and providing guidance to marketing activities.

  • Providing internal training to the marketing, sales and medical teams as required.

  • Investigator Initiated Trials within therapy area.

  • Speaker tours that occur within therapeutic area.

  • Working with PA consultant to manage Patient Advocacy Groups within therapeutic area.

  • Providing expert advice to the medical information team
