About the opportunity

The Logistics Team Leader will ensure all logistics procedures described in the SOPs are carried out in proper and timely manner for both Clinical and Commercial activities. This function is also responsible for the organization of the Logistic team in order to ensure all daily tasks are fully accomplished according to client requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the workflow, motivates, trains and monitors the performance of warehouse associates involved in the day-to-day functions

  • Assists in the process of selection, training, career development and performance management for the warehouse staff

  • Monitors work processes and makes suggestions for modifications in order to increase and improve productivity, efficiency and accuracy for the purpose of improving costs; implements changes as directed or needed.

  • Oversees the Distribution Centers department staff working in the Inbound and Outbound teams as well Inventory management

  • Have extensive knowledge about all operating procedures in order to assure the quality of the CSS procedures.

  • Organize all operating Personnel in the daily tasks to accomplish the programmed objectives.

  • Actively participates and promotes continuous improvement initiatives

  • Document, monitor, and evaluate performance and activity for each direct report and team against critical success measures to identify patterns.

  • Oversees the quality of picking and packing, protecting breakable items to ensure merchandise received by Clients arrives in a satisfactory manner.

  • Interaction verbally and via email with customers in resolving issues.

  • Assist all Operational Managers, Pharmaceutical staff, Operational Team Leaders and Client Services team in all logistical functions.

  • Act as a logistics resource and provide recommendations to the General Manager, Supply Chain to implement any procedure changes.

  • Required to be on call Roster to provide telephone assistance for any logistics out of hours request.

  • Work in all temperature-controlled environments including but not limited to +15 to +25°C, +2 to +8°C and -20 to -30°C

  • Physically perform packing process of inbound, outbound and returned shipments using packaging products.


Skills and Experience

  • Experience in Receiving/put away, inventory/ replenishment, Pick/ Pack process from initial order to completion.

  • Comprehension of the sensitivity of handling pharmaceutical products and working with and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).

  • Current forklift license — counterbalance and electric reach trucks.

  • Excellent interpersonal relationships.

  • Be able to take initiatives and solve problems

  • Self-driven and can work autonomously

  • Excellent computer skills

  • An understanding of Imports and Exports processes and statutory requirements

  • Outstanding experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and
