About the opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity in which the successful candidate will be responsible for the importing, exporting and trade compliance of highly innovative medical devices for Australia. This includes auditing, documentation and record keeping of trading processes. This role has potential to oversee the company’s full product portfolio and expand coverage into New Zealand. You will find and deliver improvements that can be made around trade processes, provide training and guidance to functional teams across the business and monitor regulation changes, adapting trade operations as required.

Duties
- Coordinate local customs events
- Determine customs value for import shipments
- Prepare and maintain documentation with relative functions
- Work with stakeholders over import declarations
- Ensure company and service providers meet trading compliance requirements
- Monitor trade compliance regulation changes
- Provide trade compliance training to functional teams
- Maintain and review import / export operation processes
- Auditing of internal and external processes to improve business operations
Skills and Experience
- Experience with importing/exporting healthcare industry goods is essential
- Excellent knowledge of trade compliance for healthcare industry goods is required
- Proficiency with Oracle and/or SAP is highly advantageous
- Track record of reviewing and improving operational processes would be very beneficial
- Ability to work independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Very high attention to detail
- Willing to travel when required as per business needs
