About the opportunity
Reporting to the Head of People and Culture, the role of the Learning and Development Specialist is pivotal in supporting our business in all related to learning and development. This role plays a critical role in building capability across our team members to develop their professional skills so that they can create a lasting impression on our customers by building trusting relationship with them.
This is a hands-on practitioner's role.
Main duties/responsibilities:
Working closely with Managers to identify training needs
Gathering and researching background materials to build knowledge
Facilitating induction training sessions for all new employees. Working with Line managers on the onboarding 90-day plan
Planning, scheduling, and facilitating of face to face and virtual training programs
Management of the Learning Management System (LMS) Go1
Creating and coordinating of an in-house learning calendar
Approaching third party training providers to deliver specific training programs
Providing career guidance to employees. Using a variety of training aids and computer software to design and deliver training workshops, presentations and learning modules
Assessing the quality of training delivery and keeping stakeholders and management informed of training progress
Provide reporting, insights and data driven assessment to measure the impact of L&D activities on capability growth
Observe processes and procedures to identify training opportunities or create improvements for training documents within the L&D framework.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
Healthcare and/ or recruitment industry experience preferable
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or Diploma of Business (or similar)
Strong facilitation, design and presentation skills
Ability to influence and communicate at all levels
