About the opportunity 12 month contract with a view to extend. As the Government Relations Manager you will sit within the Market Access and Policy Team and be the representative of the company, collaborating with government and policy organizations at local and national levels. You will provide cross functional support to internal teams implementing strategy and developing advocacy campaigns.
Duties
Develop and implement government relations strategy, advocacy campaigns, supporting patient access to medicines, shaping the external public policy environment
Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders
Engage with key internal leaders to inform and update on all relevant policy and regulatory developments
Skills and Experience
Degree in a relevant discipline such as public policy, law, health economics, or science
6 years of experience within government affairs
Have an excellent understanding of all relevant legislation, government processes, and policies impacting the Australian biopharmaceutical sector including reimbursement and health policies
Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Ability to build and maintain strong networks
Excellent influencing and persuasion skills with strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel to Canberra as needed
