About the company

About the opportunity
The Facility Support person will assist in the maintenance of the facility along with feeding animals, cleaning cages and other duties as required.

Duties

• Operating high-pressure cleaner/washing
• Scraping of boxes
• Feeding of animals
• Working in areas with animals, cage washing, assisting with feeding duties

Skills and Experience

• A combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience, preferably in the animal or biomedical research industry
• Ideally completion of year 12 or trades certificate with relevant work experience
• Be able to lift 20 kg for the preparation of materials
• Able to follow directions and work in accordance with strict SOPs
• Understanding / Background in the animal or biomedical research industry
• Able to maintain a range of equipment – working with machinery (high-pressure washer)
• Able to perform a hands-on role and be able to undertake the physical components of the role

This is a Full-time 12-month contract opportunity. This role is based in North West Victoria so a car and licence is required. All work is based on site with early starts required.
