Our client is a global leader in the animal healthcare industry. With operations in over 160 countries, our client provides innovative solutions and diagnostic tests to help veterinarians and animal health professionals diagnose and treat diseases in animals.

About the opportunity:
As the Distribution Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and supervision of the warehouse team. You will prioritize the daily workload and ensure service levels are met. You will also be responsible for inventory management, identifying efficiency improvements, training the team, and supporting the Logistics & Distribution Manager. This is an important role for the business, as you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the distribution center.

Duties:
  • Leading and allocating tasks to a team of staff
  • Being proactive and helping staff when required to maintain workflow
  • Ensures service levels and distribution targets are met
  • Responsible for inventory management tasks
  • Utilisation of inventory management system
  • Helping with receiving, checking and putting away products
  • Picking, packing of orders using RF scanners
  • Provide training to new starters and support to the team
Skills and Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in a warehousing environment
  • Exposure to being a team leader
  • Have a positive can-do attitude and can motivate others
  • Ability to use SAP is advantageous
  • Forklift licence is beneficial but not essential
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written)
  • Ability to take initiative and think on your feet
