About the opportunity

In this newly created; and high-profile role, you will be responsible for leading the medical affairs oncology team and developing the company profile and reputation in this space. Reporting to the Senior Director, Medical Affairs, you will initially hold responsibility for a team of 2 where your key objectives will be to develop and lead the team, create and build on external relationships and support the business for the reimbursement and launch of the product

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of medical affairs professionals
  • Lead and execute strategy for the medical plan for the oncology portfolio
  • Ensure extensive and effective cross functional collaborations to meet company objectives
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert of medical and clinical governance for the business
  • Develop and build external relationships through networks and symposiums

Skills and Experience

  • The ideal candidate will be an MD, PharmD or PhD with pharmaceutical industry experience in oncology
  • Prior supervisory/leadership and people development experience is essential.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills along with excellent judgement and ability to work in a team environment.
