About the Opportunity
This position is an exciting opportunity to utilise your expertise in clinical trial logistics to spearhead the design and setup of operations. You will have the opportunity to provide strategic leadership on temperature-controlled logistics for clinical trials as well as advise on regulatory requirements.

Duties
• Manage the end-to-end process of inventory and distribution of clinical trial materials to study sites, including preparation and destruction of documents as well as packaging of products in accordance with company, client, and regulatory requirements
• Manage the documentation of receipt, warehousing, distribution, returns / recalls and destruction as required
• Ensure temperature monitoring is in accordance with SOPs and the appropriate steps are taken when any deviations occur
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients by being the main point of contact when addressing queries and concerns regarding logistics as well as ensuring project timelines are met
• Drive continuous improvement and optimisation of processes
• Liaise with sites and clients in relation to inventory, shipment details and temperature reports
• Prepare warehouses for both internal and external audits
• Work closely with Quality to address deviations and CAPAs
• Advise relevant parties of industry trends and opportunities that influence the business

Skills and Experience
• Tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience
• Experience in a similar role within clinical trial logistics
• Understanding of quality standards and regulatory guidelines as well as the requirements to ensure compliance
• Excellent knowledge of ISO, GDP/GWP standards, more specifically in relation to the logistics requirements (cold chain storage and transport for clinical trials).
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with key stakeholders and partners
• High attention to detail with ability to problem solve
• Proficient in basic MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and adaptable to other technologies
