Clinical Lab Manager

About the company
This organization is a multinational company been around for over 35 years, producing their own diagnostic assays for customers providing them with insight into patient diagnosis allowing for more effective disease management and treatment. The company are rapidly expanding and will be moving to a new, state-of-the-art laboratory and clinic in Sydney CBD
About the opportunity
You will be responsible for the operational and laboratory functions within the clinic. You will liaise with management, QA, external clients, and medical professionals on issues of procedure, performance, and reporting of test results. The ideal person will have previous medical laboratory testing and Clinical lab management experience, independent individual with a strong work ethic, and a proactive approach. You will report to the Clinical operations Manager.

Duties
• Ensuring all Lab based testing for clinical diagnostics and clinical trial samples in conducted accurately adhering to company’s standards and ISO/IEC 17025, ISOIEC 15198, GCP and MHRA GCP
• Liaising with Quality Personnel and ensuring effective collection and testing procedures are upheld adhering to local regulatory and international standards
• Ensuring the analytical services and facilities of the company are maintained and developed with market and regulatory needs
• Reporting of department’s KPI’s
• Ensuring all deadlines and projects are met in a timely manner
• Providing guidance and assistance on any technical issues associated with clinical diagnostic testing and clinical trial samples
• Continuous review of test methods used in the labs
• Review & Trend analytical data generated by the lab for patient results
• Participating in the review of policies and procedures COSHH and workplace risk assessments
• Writing new SOP’s and WI within the department
Skills and Experience
• Tertiary qualification in a Science related field
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Experience with diagnostic testing, reagent applications, quality systems, health & Safety Ex: CoSHH
• Efficient computer skills using Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint
• Managing, supporting, and motivating staff
• Utilizing proactive methods of planning, developing, and implementing policies or use of resources
• Ability to interpret and analyse data and analytical projects
• A Highly motivated, independent, and proactive individual, Ability to multi-task and adapt as required
