About the company
This organization is a multinational company that has been around for over 35 years, producing their own diagnostic assays for customers providing them with insight into patient diagnosis allowing for more effective disease management and treatment. The company is rapidly expanding and will be moving to a new, state-of-the-art laboratory and clinic in Sydney CBD.
Duties
• Performing various analytical procedures, manual screening, and automated procedures used for clinical diagnostic tests
• Ability to use and update LIMS, and accurate maintenance of analytical records
• Preparing and handling samples and diagnostic reagents
• Knowledge operating various automated systems such as, Rc Daytona Plus, RX Imola, Siemens Immulite XPi
• Routinely maintaining and calibrating analytical instruments
• Preparing samples to be sent to external analytical labs, ensuring their stability is upheld
• Recording and monitoring temperature of lab and equipment
• Participate in Quality Audits
Skills and Experience
• Tertiary qualification in a Science related field
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Highly organized individual
• Experience with quality systems, health & Safety Ex: CoSHH
• Efficient computer skills using Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint
• Required Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
About the opportunity
You will be responsible for a broad suite of chemistry and immunoassay testing as the company provides >150 biomarker testing. The ideal person will have previous medical laboratory testing experience, a strong work ethic, and a proactive approach. You will report to the Clinical Lab Manager. The role is set to commence in May with training and development to be provided on the job.
