About the opportunity

This role is a unique opportunity, where you will play a key role as part of the local leadership team to launch a new therapy area. You will report to the General Manager and manage a team of Marketing and Sales Professionals. You will lead the cross functional team to drive excellence and achieve outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • People Management - you will lead, coach and mentor your cross-functional team and encourage personal development

  • Strategy - you will develop and implement strategic plans to support and drive growth

  • Forecasting and Budgeting - with P&L responsibility you will manage the spend in line with the agreed budget

  • Ability to work on strategic projects and "roll up the sleeve's" where required

Skills and Experience

  • Experience - you will have experience and tenure in a similar Senior Commercial Management role as a Business Unit Director or Business Unit Manager or equivalent - managing sales and marketing employees in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically within the Haematology (Preference) or Oncology specialty medicine setting

  • Customer focus - you will always put the customers first, planning your day around key priorities and how you engage determines the strength of your relationships long term

  • Results driven - Your activity is driven by the customer and a drive to achieve outcomes

  • Self-motivated and Optimistic - you look at every challenge as an opportunity and are determined to achieve your goals and ambitions

  • Assertiveness - you can think on your feet when a difficult conversation or situation arises and can provide solutions that will have the best outcome for our customers

  • Emotional Intelligence - you are aware of yourself and of others around you

  • Haematology &/Or Oncology experience mandatory

  • A highly entrepreneurial and creative approach to taking advantage of commercial opportunities

  • Business, Science degree or similar
