About the opportunity
As the Associate Director, National Strategic Accounts, you will play a crucial role in establishing and leading the organisation’s national strategic account function, including responsibility for a number of key product portfolios.  You will provide insight and drive the organisation’s commercial direction with key external stakeholders across federal and state governments, and hospital groups.  You will utilise your networks to understand the fast-changing payer landscape for specialty products and build relationships with these stakeholders to gain commercial advantage. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop a holistic national strategic account plan, complete with well-defined KPIs and revenue projections for key product lines in designated accounts.

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the access landscape, spanning across various regions and accounts.

  • Contribute to the composition of tender submissions, playing an active role in the preparation process.

  • Engage in constructive negotiations with external stakeholders to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Build upon your relationships with key stakeholders including Directors of Pharmacy to capitalise on commercial opportunities.

  • Proactively anticipate challenges, identify obstacles, and rally internal resources to preserve and expand the organisation’s product portfolio.


Skills and Experience Required

  • Significant experience in a National / Strategic Account focused role in the ANZ pharmaceutical sector.

  • Strong track record of building relationships with key stakeholders at National, State and Tertiary Hospital level.

  • Proven experience navigating changes to payer pathways and adapting strategic plans to accommodate these changes.

  • Exceptional influencing, negotiating and stakeholder engagement capabilities

  • Ability and experience working in a matrixed pharmaceutical organisation to gain approval for pricing decisions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce or related field.
