The Position  

As a Registered Mental Health Nurse within the Mental Health Team, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to individuals experiencing mental health conditions. 


  • Support patients with mental health conditions such as PTSD, Anxiety, Depression and trauma 
  • Provide customise and dedicated in patient mental health support
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment and interventions.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for recovery.
  • Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
  • Participate in continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest mental health nursing practices.
  • Participate in on call rota 
Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) 
  • Valid AHPRA registration  
  • Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing (preferred)
