About the opportunity

Join the New Product Development team as a Senior Microbiologist. Utilise your research skills to plan, design, conduct, and report on microbiological experiments. You will develop and validate new protocols, perform troubleshooting and analysis to support the development of pipeline products.

Duties

• Planning, delivery, and reporting of R&D projects as directed by the Testing Manager.
• Plan experiments and testing based on sound scientific analysis and expert knowledge of microbiological and biochemical techniques.
• Analyse, interpret, and present microbiological data.
• Support Testing team when required and provide training.
• Document experiments & tests according to standard laboratory procedures
• Ensure that test data and documentation (lab books, reports etc) is maintained in accordance with Quality requirements, ISO13485, and GLP requirements where appropriate.
• Ensure work is carried out appropriately under Quality Management System policies and procedures.

• Assist in procurement, operation, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology/Molecular biology/Biochemistry, or masters by research/PhD preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role or 1-year experience in working on research projects.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and use initiative.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills
