About the opportunity

In this busy role, you will be responsible for the operational management across Queensland ensuring transport, fleet, cost and service levels are maintained.


Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations to ensure service level agreements are maintained and delivered in a timely manner
• Day to day staff management; ensuring staff well being
• Contractor negotiation and supplier management
• Promote and manage a clean/ safe work environment with guidance and leadership to all team members, ensuring all activities comply with relevant acts, company policies, legal demands, and ethical standards
• Carry out warehousing, distribution and customer service reporting and metrics daily/ weekly/ monthly or as required and make recommendations where necessary
• Manage/ perform domestic and international shipping duties and ensure delivery information is communicated to relevant departments
• Recruitment, on-boarding and induction of drivers.
• Other related duties, including housekeeping maintenance

Skills and Experience

• Highly developed negotiation, problem solving and influencing skills
• Strong commercial acumen
• Previous experience in an operational role within the transport industry is preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills
• Ability to manage a broad range of stakeholders
• Comfortable working both in strategic and hands on duties
• Prior Healthcare experience well regarded
