About the opportunity

Exciting opportunity for an experienced NPI lead to join the team. You will collaborate with key business units to understand their technical, quality and commercial requirements and then establish execute sourcing plans to meet the business needs.

You will be responsible for end-to-end procurement deliverables for new product development products including identifying suppliers, supplier selection, negotiations, contract execution and setting up key supply chains for launch.

Duties

  • End-to-end procurement for new product development products
  • Act as the interface with new and existing suppliers to support and create value for new product development or projects.
  • Responsible for the provision of strategic sourcing processes during product development
  • Risk identification, contract development and negotiation
  • Supplier evaluation and performance management
  • Item cost modelling
  • Conduct market analysis
  • End to end supplier contact from sourcing suppliers to negotiations and contract execution
  • Work closely with R&D and other key business areas

Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in a manufacturing /engineering environment especially relating to medical device, high-tech, automotive or other highly regulated industry is essential
  • Highly developed understanding of Source to Contract (S2C) and Procure to Pay (P2P) along with strong Third Party Management (TPM) / Vendor Management / Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) skills.
  • Commercially astute, with strong financial management
  • Ability to influence and persuade, demonstrate domain expertise and be able to quickly think on your feet
  • Experience in negotiating pricing, contracts and commercial terms, in prioritising projects and selecting partners on a local, regional or global scale
  • Proven project management experience, capable of translating deliverables into executable task plans with ability to report clear progress, blockers and enablers.
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement, process development, implementation and successful change management practices
  • 8 years minimum strategic procurement experience at local and on global platform level.
  • Technical competence in mechanical components would be a distinct advantage.
